Poetry in Motion is a book of poems & short stories, written by a young African American male trying to figure out life, growing up in Brooklyn New York City. Poetry in Motion is a reminder of many aspects of life, trying to meet goals and grow, realizing it is important to prioritize. Because ready or not life is still in motion. My love for poetry allowed me to frequently Express what I envisioned, heard, experienced, and enjoyed. Writing poetry allowed me to take a stance and speak out about certain issues. Every story in this book is real and it’s all me. Stories about love, heartbreak, hate, happiness, anger, passion, confusion, ungratefulness, being a hypocrite, dedication, gratefulness, and thankfulness. Every emotion I have ever felt in my life I have written and expressed through poetry. May these words be a bridge. A bridge of understanding oneself without full explanation, and a bridge of motivation and inspiration to the those who’s reading this specific piece of literature.
